Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology department is the department where the examination of the patients at their first application to our clinic. This clinic, which works as a radiology clinic, deals with the diagnosis of tooth decay, gum diseases, some changes that other diseases can cause in the mouth, and diseases that occur in the mouth and jaws.

Intraoral and extraoral radiographs are one of the most helpful methods used in diagnosis and treatment in dentistry. Panoramic x-ray that allows all of the teeth in the mouth to be seen, impacted teeth, all oral bone tissue, physiological and pathological formations, and the jaw joint at once; Periapical x-rays, which provide more detailed images of several adjacent teeth and surrounding tissues, and dental tomography, which allows bone and soft tissue details to be displayed in different sections, which cannot be detected in normal x-ray images, are indispensable elements for faster and more complete treatment planning.

Oral Diagnosis examination is not always limited to dentistry. Some of the oral symptoms may be systemic-general common, herald-symptom of serious diseases. For example; Gingival bleeding can be a symptom of a syndrome related to teeth, as well as a symptom of serious diseases such as leukemia. Oral cancers are seen in up to 5% of the general cancer rates and oral diagnosis examination is required for early diagnosis.
